Birdhouse Building Workshop and Wilderness Lunch

Help a bird find a good home! Birds need our help as the decline of old forests has reduced natural nesting cavities. By building a birdhouse, you provide a bird with a shelter for living and raising its young.


The birdhouse trip begins in the workshop where we learn the basics of bird needs and construct simple wooden birdhouses. The journey continues into a nearby forest, where we hang the birdhouses together in selected trees. Once the birds’ homes are in place, we’ll enjoy an unforgettable three-course lunch prepared by a private wilderness chef at the campfire, surrounded by peaceful forest. After lunch, we stroll back to the starting point.

All tools and materials needed for building the birdhouses are provided at the workshop, and our friendly guide assists at every step. The birdhouse will be marked on our Birdhouse Map, for you to follow the positive impact of your effort!

The price includes transportation from Hotel Scandic Rukahovi or Holiday Club Kuusamo Tropiikki to the trip’s starting point and back.
