That you’re a minimum of 12-years old. You need a medium fitness level to be able to walk in the forest. You also need to have valid international travel insurance and understand basic English.

Walking in deep forest means walking without a path. It’s naturally slow because the ground is uneven and you might need to step over stones, branches and fallen trees. Some spots might be a little wet. Walking in deep forest gives an immersive experience in nature.

During the summer we only have a couple weeks in the end of June and beginning of July when the mosquitoes are more active. During the rest of the summer there are less of them. Wearing long sleeves and long pants is helpful. We will provide you with the needed equipment (repellent and net) to be able to enjoy the time in nature together with our flying friends whenever you decide to visit us.

During summer in Finland, some days might be very warm and some days more chilly. The best way is to follow the local weather forecast and dress accordingly. Good shoes for walking in the forest are waterproof hiking boots. Comfortable gumboots are also an option. It might be a good idea to bring an extra layer if the weather is chilly.

We don’t have a food menu. We work with seasonal ingredients available at the moment. That’s how we can serve you the freshest of what nature has to offer, reduce food waste and give you a little mystery.

The wild animals are more afraid of you, than you are of them. That’s why they prefer to stay as far away from humans as possible. Most Finnish people walk a lifetime in the forest without ever encountering predators.

Even without previous experience you’ll be able to build a birdhouse. We are here to give you all necessary instructions and help you along the way. In our workshop we use hand tools which makes it easier and more fun.
